Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how WisScope collects, uses, shares, and protects information when commercial contractors, trade contractors, and their teams use WisScope.
WisScope is an organization-based construction management SaaS product. Customer organizations control the project, job, document, photo, contact, schedule, note, task, RFI, submittal, and field information they add to the service.
1. Information We Collect
WisScope collects information needed to provide construction management software to commercial contractors, trade contractors, and their teams. The information we collect depends on how your organization uses WisScope and what users choose to enter, upload, or manage in the service.
This may include account information, organization information, project and job data, uploaded documents and photos, billing-related information, usage information, and session data.
2. Account Information
When a user creates or accesses an account, we may collect their name, email address, password credentials, account status, email verification status, role, permissions, notification preferences, and related login information.
WisScope supports organization-based access. Users may be assigned roles such as Owner, Admin, Member, or Field. Those roles affect what information a user can view or manage inside an organization workspace.
3. Organization Information
We collect information about customer organizations, such as company name, workspace settings, company profile information, invited users, team members, role assignments, and subscription status.
Organization owners and administrators are responsible for managing who has access to their workspace and for keeping company information accurate.
4. Project and Job Data
WisScope is used to manage project and job information. Customers and users may enter or upload estimating jobs, active jobs, completed jobs, contacts, notes, schedules, tasks, materials, RFIs, submittals, field updates, activity records, and other project-related information.
Project and job data may include information about customers, vendors, employees, subcontractors, jobsites, deadlines, costs, documents, and operational decisions. Customers control what project and job data they add to WisScope.
5. Uploaded Files and Photos
Users may upload plans, specifications, permits, closeout documents, RFIs, submittals, photos, and other files related to construction work. These files may contain personal information, confidential business information, or jobsite information.
Uploaded files and photos may be stored using AWS S3. WisScope uses these files to make them available to authorized users in the relevant organization workspace.
6. Billing Information
WisScope uses Stripe to process subscription billing and trial-related payment workflows. We do not intentionally store full payment card numbers on WisScope servers.
Stripe may collect payment details, billing address, payment status, invoices, and transaction information according to Stripe's own services and policies. WisScope may store billing status, subscription identifiers, plan status, and related account information needed to manage access to paid services.
7. Usage Information
We may collect basic information about how users interact with WisScope, such as pages or features accessed, timestamps, device or browser information, IP address, error logs, and actions taken inside the service.
We use this information to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve WisScope. We do not use usage information to make claims about formal security certifications or compliance programs unless those programs have been implemented and verified.
8. Cookies and Session Data
WisScope uses cookies or similar session technologies to keep users signed in, protect authentication flows, remember session state, and support basic application functionality.
If you disable cookies, parts of WisScope may not work correctly. Some authentication and security features require cookies or session storage to function.
9. How We Use Information
We use information to provide WisScope, authenticate users, manage organization workspaces, enforce role-based permissions, store and display project data, process uploads, send account and verification emails, support billing, respond to support needs, troubleshoot errors, prevent misuse, and improve the service.
We may also use information to communicate about account status, product updates, billing issues, security notices, or changes to WisScope policies.
10. Third-Party Service Providers
WisScope relies on third-party providers to operate the service. These include Stripe for billing, Resend for email delivery, AWS S3 for file storage, and Neon for database hosting.
These providers may process information as needed to deliver their services to WisScope. We do not authorize these providers to use customer data for their own unrelated purposes.
11. How Information Is Shared
We do not sell customer data. We may share information with authorized users in the same organization workspace according to their roles and permissions.
We may also share information with service providers that help operate WisScope, if required by law or legal process, to protect WisScope or others from harm, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
12. Data Retention
We retain account, organization, project, and uploaded data for as long as needed to provide WisScope, support active customer accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain business records.
When an organization cancels or deletes its account, some information may remain in backups, logs, billing records, or legally required records for a limited period. We may also retain de-identified or aggregated information that does not identify a specific customer or user.
13. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information in WisScope, including account authentication, role-based access controls, and provider-hosted infrastructure.
No internet service can guarantee perfect security. Customers are responsible for using strong passwords, protecting account credentials, assigning appropriate permissions, and promptly removing access for users who should no longer use the workspace.
14. User Rights and Choices
Users may be able to update certain account information inside WisScope. Organization owners and administrators may be able to update company settings, invite or remove users, and manage permissions.
Depending on where you are located, you may have legal rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal information. To make a request, contact us using the contact information below. We may need to verify your identity and your relationship to the relevant organization before acting on a request.
15. Account Deletion
If you want to delete an account or organization workspace, contact WisScope through your normal support or account contact. Organization-level deletion requests generally must come from an authorized owner or administrator.
Deleting an account or workspace may affect access to project data, uploaded files, billing records, and other information. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal, backup, or billing purposes.
16. Children's Privacy
WisScope is business-use software for contractors and construction teams. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to WisScope, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the last updated date and may provide notice through WisScope or other reasonable means.
Your continued use of WisScope after an updated policy becomes effective means the updated policy applies to your use of the service.
18. Contact Information
Questions about this Privacy Policy or privacy requests can be sent to WisScope at [support email or mailing address]. This contact information should be replaced with the company's official legal or support contact before production launch.
